This policy explains what information Buck Energy Partners collects through buck.energy, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have written it to describe what this website actually does rather than to cover every practice we might one day adopt.

Who we are

Buck Energy Partners is a residential solar company based in Pennsylvania. You can reach us at Hello@Buck.Energy or 717.820.9588.

Repair and service work is performed by Buck Energy Services, a DBA of Fortress Siding, LLC. Where you contact us about repair or service, your information is shared with that company so the work can be scheduled and performed. See Who we share information with.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the consultation form, you provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, property address, details about your home or existing solar system, and anything else you choose to write in the message. You decide what to send us; none of it is gathered without you filling in a field.

The qualification tool

The tool at /qualify is entirely client-side. Your answers are held in your own browser's session storage so the summary can be shown back to you, and they are cleared when you close the tab. They are not transmitted to us unless you separately choose to submit the consultation form.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

Advertising landing pages. A small number of pages on this site are used as destinations for paid advertising. Those pages — and only those pages — load the Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel, which reports a page view to Meta when the page loads and a lead event when a form on it is submitted. This allows us to measure whether our advertising is working. Meta receives this information and may associate it with a Meta account. The rest of this website, including every page reachable from our navigation, runs no analytics platform and no advertising pixel.

If you would rather not be measured this way, Meta provides ad and activity controls in your account settings, and most browsers offer tracking protection and cookie controls that apply here.

Cookies and similar technologies

Across the main site we do not set advertising or analytics cookies. The embedded consultation form is provided by GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) and may set cookies necessary for the form to function and to prevent spam submissions. On the paid advertising landing pages described above, the Meta pixel may also set cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; forms may not work correctly if you block them.

How we use information

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation, site visit, or service call.
• To prepare designs, proposals, quotes, and any agreements you ask us for.
• To perform work you engage us to do, and to support it afterward.
• To keep records required for our business, warranties, and legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Calls, texts, and email

If you give us your phone number, you are asking us to contact you about your enquiry, and we may do so by phone call, text message, or email. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us to stop contacting you altogether by emailing Hello@Buck.Energy. We will still respond to a request you actively submit to us.

Who we share information with

• Buck Energy Services, a DBA of Fortress Siding, LLC — where your enquiry concerns repair or service, so that company can contact you, schedule, and carry out the work.
• GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) — the platform hosting our consultation form and customer records.
• Vercel — our website hosting provider.
• Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
• Installers, equipment manufacturers, financing partners, and utilities — only where necessary to deliver work you have engaged us for, such as registering a warranty or filing a utility interconnection.
• Professional advisers and authorities — where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our dealings with you, and we keep customer records for as long as required to support installed systems, honour warranties, and meet legal and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete information we are not required to retain.

Your choices

You can ask us to provide a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it where we are not obliged to keep it, or stop contacting you. Email Hello@Buck.Energy and we will action reasonable requests. Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights.

Security

We use reputable service providers and take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is intended for homeowners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Links to other sites

Where we link to another website, that site's own privacy policy governs what it does with your information. We are not responsible for the practices of sites we do not operate.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and revise the date shown at the top. Material changes will be reflected here rather than communicated individually.
