The Virginia Market

What actually shapes your bill here.

Virginia is largely a regulated market. Most homeowners buy from a single utility at rates set through regulatory proceedings rather than by shopping suppliers.

Northern Virginia hosts one of the largest concentrations of data centre capacity anywhere, and that load is growing quickly. Serving it requires substantial new generation and transmission. Residential customers share a grid with that demand, and the cost of building for it is recovered across the customer base. This is a well-documented structural driver, and it is not one a household can shop its way around — in a regulated market there is no alternative supplier to switch to.

None of that is a forecast. It is the structure of the market you buy electricity in, and it is set by parties who do not consult you. What a household controls is not the rate — it is how many kilowatt-hours it has to buy at that rate.

Control

A known cost, instead of a variable one.

Buying electricity means accepting a price set elsewhere, revised on someone else's schedule, for as long as you own the home.

Produce

You Generate It

A system sized to your home's real demand turns a recurring purchase into something you own outright and produce on site.

Store

You Hold It

Storage carries production into the evening and through an outage, so the power you made is available when the house actually wants it.

Keep

You Own It

The system is a permanent improvement to the property. It keeps producing long after it is paid for, on terms nobody revises.

The cost of power you produce yourself is fixed at the moment you build the system. The cost of power you buy is not. That difference is the whole argument, and it compounds every year you stay in the house.

How We Work in Virginia

Engineered here. Installed locally.

Consultations are conducted remotely, so distance is not a constraint. Design and engineering are handled by our team; installation is carried out by a local install partner licensed in your state.

Every system is engineered individually — roof geometry, shading, load profile, and battery architecture designed around your property rather than pulled from a catalogue. Where a property carries land, a ground-mount array is evaluated alongside the roof.

Repair and service work is offered in Pennsylvania only and is not available in this state.

Private Consultation

A direct conversation about your Virginia home.

Tell us about the property. We will review whether a whole-home system is a fit, what it would take to engineer it, and how it applies in Virginia.
